Pot Bearings

A bearing that safely delivers vertical and horizontal forces of an upper structure to a bridge pier, it accepts rotational displacement by inserting a rubber disk in a closed, circular container and accepts horizontal displacement in the upper structure, caused by, for example, temperature changes, through the sliding of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PT FE) and stainless steel.
